Arusha National Park

LOCATION: 51km/32 miles North of Arusha

The Arusha National Park is the closest park to Arusha town which is northern Tanzania’s safari capital. The Arusha National Park and Arusha town derive their name from the Wa-Arusha people who traditionally lived in this area.

A multi-faceted jewel, it offers great viewing of flora and fauna in a beguiling diversity of habitats.

Mount Meru at 4566m/14,980 feet stands at the near center of the park and offers hikers to climb it in 3 to 4 days.
