Tanzania Northern circuit destinations Luxury Safari

Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania at Kilimanjaro airport.

Arrive in Tanzania at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), after all custom formalities are done, meet and greet by our staff From Leon Expeditions  and you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha for your first night booked on half board basis, HB.

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park.

Breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, at 0800hrs pick up and travel two hours on good road to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch for a morning and afternoon Game drives in the park. Your professional driver who is also your tour guide will do his best to offer you the best service, showing you wild things as much as what the park offers.

In this Wildlife area, expect to see animals such as Lion, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, hyena, eland, kudu, Cheetah, warthog, Blue and Vervet monkey, and more... About 450 species of birds have been recorded, although Tarangire Park is famous for herds of Elephant but also you will see HUGE baobab trees. Later before 1630hrs drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Lodge booked on full board basis.

Day 3: Drive - to - Manyara National Park

Walk up for early morning game drives in Tarangire Park, later at 0800hrs return to camp for breakfast. Then at 0900hrs after breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy hot lunch at Serena Safari lodge. At 1400hrs commence an afternoon game drives at Lake Manyara National Park until 1700hrs.
The park is located in the Eastern Wing of Great Rift Valley with amazing landscape, it is home to Tree climbing Lions, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded, the park Lake Manyara provides opportunities for ornithologists keen on viewing and observing over 300 migratory birds, including flamingo, long-crested eagle and grey-headed kingfisher.at 1600hrs leave the park and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight booked on full board basis, FB

Day 4: Manyara – to- Gibbs Farm - Head to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Breakfast at your lodge, at 0830hrs depart for Karatu at Gibbs Farm to experience a coffee farm walking tour and hot lunch. You will Cross the Great Rift Valley and enjoy the stunning views of the amazing landscape you will also see the village and the local communities from a different perspective as you cross the valley. Experience coffee farm walking tour, you will see the coffee production, coffee roasting and coffee testing to fee the Aroma. Enjoy hot lunch before heading to Ngorongoro Crater Rim for dinner experience at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour Full day.

Early morning at 0600hrs descend into the crater floor, view the resident wildlife at its most active time of day. Up to twelve miles in diameter, the crater's short grass prairies are an ideal haven for animals, and you may see many species including the lion, elephant, hyena, wildebeest and gazelle. Even the rare and elusive black rhinoceros, one of Africa's most endangered species, is a resident here. You will have no trouble spotting the BIG FIVE lion, leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and many other species of plain animals- wildebeest, zebra, reed-buck, Thompson gazelle and many other antelopes. There are also many birds which attracts Bird-lovers and make their time enjoyable in the crater. To mention the few are Ostrich, Kori Bustard, plovers, flamingos and many other species. Wonder not to see the Maasai herdsmen and their cattle in the crater as the crater is in their territory for centuries.
Today you will have BUSH LUNCH in the Crater. After lunch proceed with afternoon game viewing in the Crater. At 1600hrs ascend the Crater to the Rim, rest of the day spent at leisure, stay overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Maasai Village and Olduvai Gorge – to – Serengeti National Park.

At 0700hrs enjoy delicious breakfast at Crater lodge, the high-end property in the conservation on the crater rim, at 0800hrs check out and depart for Serengeti via Maasai Village to see and hear the truth about the Maasai, why they live in the conservation and sharing the land with wild animals, you will also have a chance to see and engage in Maasai traditional dance for a while.
Drive from Ngorongoro Highlands down towards the plains of Serengeti via the famous archaeological site of Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind where Doctor Leakey discovered the skull and the foot print of the early man.

The travel continue to Naabi gate into Serengeti park, after park entry formalities is done, drive while spotting game en-route to Four Seasons Safari Lodge for hot Lunch.
Spend the afternoon at leisure at the lodge. At 1630hrs get in your vehicles for short game drives, your game drives ends at 1800hrs, where you return to lodge for dinner experience.

Day 7/8: Serengeti National Park (rated by Forbes as #2 best travel destination in 2021)

You will have all meals at the lodge, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dedicate more two days in Serengeti Park with full days of morning and afternoon game drives.

The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Within its 15,000sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals- zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the BIG five; Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino. The park is the staging zone for one the most spectacular events in the natural world- the annual migration of wildebeest. This commences around June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of pasture. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds including the migrant birds from Europe.

INCLUDED: Hot air BALLOON ride over Serengeti: In one of the mornings (day 7 or day 8).
At 0500hrs you will be picked from the lodge in Serengeti and transfer you to the Maasai Copjes, here you will meet your pilot for briefing and watch of your balloon.
At dawn the balloon takes off, rising as the sun rises and floats in whichever direction the winds of the morning takes it. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon; sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife bellow.

The flight is for about one hour aerial game viewing depending on conditions, and eventually you might land. You celebrate in the traditional manner with champagne (well, an excellent sparkling wine) before sitting down to a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in out of Africa style with bone china, linen table cloths, kings silver etc. After BUSH breakfast you receive your Balloon Certificate. You will be dropped to meet your driver guide.

Serengeti is a BIG game heaven. After the balloon service, you dedicate the day to Serengeti and continue with a morning and an afternoon game drive in Serengeti as scheduled.

Day 9: Depart by flight to Arusha - Airport.

Enjoy a morning Sun rise from your balcony, breakfast followed by relaxing at your lodge or drive out for one last early morning game drive in Serengeti. At 0900hrs transfer to Seronera airstrip for your flight from the Serengeti back to Arusha. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Gran Melia hotel in Arusha for a day-room reserved for you. Later you will be transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport by private vehicle for your next travel. End
